Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is an Spanish pop and flamenco singer. As a singer, she has played in the margins of traditional and popular music in her early years, she is a part of other music genres, such as hip-hop soul and trap. Her voice is called by a greater musician than flamenco Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp, but with the same bite as older songs. After her 2017 debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist The follow-up album she released in 2018 El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough that topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately receiving an Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd and The Weeknd, came out in 2021. Her third long-player Motomami offered songwriting collaborations with many artists and producers such as Cory Henry and James Blake. It was released March 2022, following the performance of the track Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia became the first Spanish artist to sing solo on the show. As well as winning three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia, she also became the first female to be awarded this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
